End of the Quarter:
The end of 3rd quarter is Thursday, March 30th. Please take time to look on the Parent Portal to check on your child's grades if you have not looked lately
No Student Day:
Friday, March 31st is a no student day. This is a teacher work day
Parking:
If you are coming to school to eat lunch with your child or other short term visits, please use the visitor parking spots or other available parking areas. Do not park by the curb or in the middle of the parking lots during the school day. We need these areas open for safety reasons and for parents to drop off and pick up their children
Volunteering at GM school:
The volunteering policy is now on the school website in two places: District quick links and Parent links
There are two key points of the policy. 1. If you are going on a field trip away from the school you need to have an application and current background check on file 2. If you are coming to the school to be a classroom helper or similar volunteer you do not need to have a background check completed
The specifics are listed in the volunteer policy on the webpage. Please take a few minutes to review the policy if you plan to volunteer. Leslie Hendrickson in the Business Office is your contact person to get background checks taken care of.
Job Openings at GM school:
The following positions are currently posted. More specific details on the teacher positions can be found on EdPost. Additional advertising will be in the Mower County Independent and Austin Daily Herald in the upcoming days. Application deadlines are April 19th -2017
- 1.0 FTE- 6th grade teacher /middle school Language Arts
- 1.0 FTE-K-12 Physical Education/Adapted Physical Education
- Elementary Administrative Assistant
Make Up Days:
There is one more snow day available before students will need to start making up school days. If a day(s) need to be made up due to school closures, the following days have been identified. Thursday, April 13th, Monday, April 17th and Wednesday, June 7th
