Masters: Curriculum and Instruction/Reading focus-Mankato State.
a. Began in this field by working with developmentally adults.
b. Taught Special Education in Iowa and Minnesota. Have been with Grand Meadow School district since 1999.
a. My husband, Jan, had been a case manager in Freeborn County, working with developmentally delayed adults until last year, when he retired.
b. Mike, my oldest,is married to Claudia. Claudia is from Bogota, Colombia. Mike is an interpreter, and also in the Air Force Reserves. At this time, Claudia is pursuing her citizenship. I'm so proud of her!!!
c. Steve is married to Miranda. They have a son, Stanley, and a daughter, Emmy. Steve works at a contracting business in Rochester that contracts with the city of Rochester, while Miranda works at Mayo. My grandson will be a second grader in Stewartville, while Emmy still has a couple more years before she enters Kindergarten.
d. The baby of our family is Abby. She is currently working at the Rochester Autism Center, and also pursuing her Masters in Psychology.
This past summer, my husband and I vacationed in the Southwest, hitting Bryce and Zion Canyons in Utah, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, and Sedona, Arizona. Very beautiful out there. What they say about dry heat vs. humidity is right. I’ll take the dry heat any time over our Midwest humidity.
