Prom Update

Junior and Senior Parents and Students,

As you all know, we have postponed prom until June 13.Due to the most recent governor’s orders, and the phases to re-opening and social gatherings, we are sad to announce that we will be CANCELLING prom for the 2019-2020 school year. Due to the large group of students attending prom, and the closeness/proximity students would be to each other, we would not be following guidelines for social distancing set by the CDC if we were to continue with prom even at a later date. We understand that none of this is ideal, as we know so many look forward to this event, but after discussions with administrations, junior prom advisors, and teachers,we feel this is the plan we need to follow moving forward. Like many area schools who have cancelled prom, we still encourage you to put on your prom dresses, tuxes, and suits and take a picture and send to Mrs. Swanek (cswanek@gm.k12.mn.us) so they can be used in the yearbook.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Mr. Rosaaen and Mr. Besel
