Welcome! My name is Jodi Munson and I teach 6th grade Reading/Language Arts and 6th grade Social Studies. I am also teaching the College Now ED 101 - Intro to Education and ED 251 - Intro to Child Growth & Development for juniors and seniors. This is my 6th year at Grand Meadow Schools and my 22nd year of teaching. I received my Elementary Education/Kindergarten/Early Childhood degrees from the University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse in 2001. I received my Master's of Reading and Literature from Walden University in 2004.

My husband Mike works in construction and we have a son and a daughter who attend school at Grand Meadow. Connor is a senior, this year, and plays football, basketball, and baseball. Claire is an 8th grader and plays volleyball and softball. We also have a spoiled 1.5 year old pug, who we love with all of our hearts - even when he's been naughty, named Henry Allen Pug. We live in the country, near Rose Creek, on an acreage.

I absolutely LOVE to read and I have a book with me at all times!!!! I also love to shop, go for walks, organize anything and everything, watch my kiddos play sports, and cuddle with Henry when he isn't running around acting crazy.

It is with great enthusiasm that I look forward to this coming school year! Reading is my greatest passion and I can not wait to begin to instill that same love of reading into each of my students, as we also learn enormous amounts about Minnesota history in Social Studies. This will be an exciting school year for all of us! Stay tuned for all that is to come! As long as we all work together, we will be successful! smiley
