Flu Vaccine:

The School Located Immunization program, previously held at all Mower County schools as a collaboration between Mower County Public Health and Mayo Clinic Health System, is cancelled for this year. However, local resources exist for you to get your child and your family vaccinated against the flu this year.

Now more than ever, Mayo Clinic, Mower County Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend all people six months and older get flu vaccinations to protect themselves and others from getting the flu.  You may now schedule your flu vaccination at a Mayo Clinic Health System Community Flu Vaccination clinic through Patient Online Services or the Mayo Clinic App. Appointments are required; there will be no walk-in flu vaccine clinics. Mower County Public Health will offer flu vaccines to children age 6 months – 18 years who have Medical Assistance or are uninsured. Flu vaccines are also available through your local participating pharmacy.
