Winter Activities Update
Included in this E-news will be all of the protocols that will be used for winter athletics.  These protocols must all be adhered to closely.

Schedules are attached for all sports.  The boys’ basketball schedule and the wrestling schedules are complete.  Girls’ basketball may add up to 2 more games later in the season.  The school website is accurate.  Everyone is asked to consult the website often as there will undoubtedly be changes to the schedules that will be made.

Attendance at Events

The schools in the Southeast Conference have agreed to allow only home fans at all events.  When our teams have non-conference competitions at away venues, we will follow the host school’s policy.  Some of those schools will be allowing visiting fans.  Our coaches will inform the athletes as to which events will be accepting fans.

Each athlete will be allowed to purchase two $5 tickets for basketball games.  Tickets for wrestling matches will be $6 each due to the fact that our wrestling team is a member of the Three Rivers Conference and that is the designated price.  Tickets for both sports will be on sale in the high school office from 8:00 – 4:00 each day during the week of the event.  If the team has 2 home events during that week, tickets can be purchased for both events at the same time.  When arriving at the event, everyone must have their name and phone number written on the back of the ticket.  For students with split families each household will be allowed to purchase 2 tickets.

All seating for basketball games will be in the home section.  No fans will be allowed to sit in the visiting section.  Seating is required at the designated “dots” on the bleachers.  Two people may sit at each “dot” providing they are from the same household.

All seating for wrestling matches will be on the east end of the gym and both sides of the bleachers will be used.  There will be 2 mats set up each evening.  The east mat will host all of the varsity matches.  The west mat will host all of the junior varsity matches.  No one will be allowed to cross the gym on the west end in order to get to the home bleachers.  All fans will need to proceed down the hallway and enter the gym at the double doors near the concession stand.

All 7th and 8th grades games will be played in the dome gym.  Spectators will be required to park behind the school and enter through Door #6 (entrance by dome concession stand).   This will be the only door that spectators will be allowed to enter or exit the gym.  Each athlete will be given 2 tickets during the week of each game.  They are free to distribute those tickets to whomever they choose.  When spectators arrive at the game they will need to have their name and phone number written onto the back of the ticket.  For students with split families each household will be given 2 tickets.

All home varsity and JV events will be streamed through NFHS at the following site:  https://www.nfhsnetwork.com/schools/grand-meadow-high-school-grand-meadow-mn  More information will be forthcoming regarding locations for streaming away events.

No concessions will be available for varsity or junior varsity events.

We are very happy that we are going to be able to allow our students to have athletic seasons.  In order to have as complete of seasons as possible, all spectators will need to adhere to these protocols closely.  Face coverings for spectators will be required 100% of the time.  Anyone that is not adhering the Minnesota Department of Health guidelines will be asked to leave.
