Vaccination Clinics:
Attached are two documents from the Health Office
Document 1 is the vaccination clinic dates. The COVID vaccination has a limit of 60 doses. The clinic will be held on September 1st from 3 PM – 6 PM. This is an open clinic, and no appointments are needed. The second dose clinic date is listed on the attachment.
Document 2 is the parent authorization form: COVID and Flu vaccinations need to have a parent or guardian authorization form filled out prior to receiving a vaccination.
Getting ready for school:
As we slowly move closer to the start of the school year, please start thinking about setting routines and good sleep schedules with your children. The first few days back can be very exhausting; sleep and good eating habits can help set students up for success. Please consider this as a topic of discussion in your home as we get closer to the start of the school year.
Food Truck:
The Grand Meadow Wellness Program is sponsoring Sunny’s Mexican Food and Ice cream truck to be at the school on Tuesday, August 31st from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. This lunch option was initially set up for the school employees for their lunch break, but we have decided to open it up to the public as well. So, if you would like a different lunch option on the 31st, stop by the school and place an order. At this time, we are looking to have then set up on the west side of the school near the Legacy entrance.
Back to School Packet:
If you received a Health History document to fill out that deals specifically with COVID, please disregard that form. The form was accidentally included in your packets and it will not be required to be filled out and returned to school. Thanks for understanding!
Quarantining and other COVID related topics:
The district in in the process of putting a few final touches on a Decision Tree and other scenarios regarding quarantining, testing, and options for parents and families. This information will be in a dedicated E-News coming to you no later than Parent-Teacher conferences on September 1st. As always, know that this is a work in progress, be flexible and there may need to be changes based on local rates of infection and/or if the state sets mandates for schools
