Financial Aid Night--Food Drive

Junior and Senior Parents:  A reminder that Grand Meadow's Financial Aid Night has been scheduled for Monday, October 30th at 6:30 pm.  A representative from Riverland Community College, Patty Hemann will be our guest speaker.  This meeting will be held at Southland High School in the Media Center Conference Room.  Please contact Kira Wellner at the school with any questions.
 


 ***Reminder that passes are not valid for the remainder of the Fall sports season since we are into playoff games.**

Tailgate meal $7. BBQ sandwich salad chips bar and drink. 
 


Food Drive:  The Student Council is once again collecting items for their annual Food Drive.  The Food Drive will take place starting tomorrow, Wednesday, October 25-Thursday, November 2nd.  Please consider donating!  All items will be donated to our local food Shelf.  The themes for each day:

Wednesday, October 25:  Wakeup Call

  • Canned coffee, cereal, oatmeal, tea, granola bars, etc.

    Thursday, October 26:  Feeling Fruity
  • Canned peaches, pears, pineapple, applesauce, etc.

    Friday, October 27: Comfort Food
  • Hamburger helper, tuna helper, stuffing, potatoes, etc.

    Monday, October 30: Lunch Box Hero
  • Peanut Butter, juice boxes, raisins, fruit snacks, etc.

    Tuesday, October 31: Veggie Tails
  • Canned corn, beans, peas, diced tomatoes, etc.

    Wednesday, November 1: Protein Party
  • Canned tuna, canned chicken, nuts, canned chili, etc.

    Thursday, November 2: Super Cheesy
  • Mac and cheese & Pasta

*Any items can be brought in on any day.  These are just suggested items.
 


Trick or Treating for the Food Shelf:  St. Finbarr's Catholic Church and the Grand Meadow Lutheran Church will be Trick-or-Treating for the Food Shelf on Wednesday, October 25th starting at 7:00 p.m. Please leave your lights on!
