The start of the school year is right around the corner. Parent Teacher conferences will start things off on Wednesday, August 29th. There are scheduled conferences for students in PK - grade 4 on August 27th and Tuesday, September 4th . There will be two sessions of conferences for students in grades 7 -12. There are a number of students that are not scheduled yet for elementary conferences. Here is the link to sign up for Back to School Elementary conferences:

The 7 -12 sessions will be at 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Please make sure you set aside plenty of time before or after these sessions to turn in paperwork. Schedule changes for students in grades 9-12 should be taken care of prior to August 27th. Contact the HS office at 507.754.5318.
The conference will start in the Legacy Gym and then proceed to a student's first hour class. Students and parents will follow a shortened "bell schedule" so parents and students can meet and listen to a short presentation from each teacher.
Students in grades 5 and 6 should meet in their home room teacher's classroom at 2:00 PM or 6:00 PM.

Superlark Volunteer Cord Program Opportunity:
Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin (Mower Refreshed – the community well-being program) is looking for volunteers to help with the Harvest 5K Race coming up on Saturday, Sept. 15, 9 a.m. in the Austin Municipal Pool parking lot. The race coordinators are looking for approximately 10-15 volunteers to help that day. This would be a great opportunity for those looking for cord hours! Opportunities include: registration table, route attendants, water stop, clock/finish line, race leader (either a fast runner or someone on a bike) and race sweeper (either running/walking/biking at the end of the race to make sure everyone finishes safely). Volunteers would need to be available from 8:30-10:30 (approximately) on Saturday morning. Those interested may contact Sara Lee at (lee.sara@mayo.edu) and she’ll put them in touch with the right people.
Elementary Larkbooks:
Elementary Parents: Please make sure you stop at the table in the elementary dome to pick up your Larkbook prior to going to your child's conference. Teachers plan to share information with you at your conference from the Larkbook.

To help insure the transition back to school runs smoothly we will be handing out 7-12th grade student devices during the back to school registration day. We will be available to check out devices from 12:00-8:00 pm on August 29th outside of the scheduled conference times of 2:00 and 6:00 pm. Items you need turned in prior to checking out these devices include:
- Paid in full damages or fees from previous year if applicable.
- Insurance form filled out and signed with a $35 payment or line checked that you are not interested in insurance.
Paperwork and payment can be turned in to Mr. Smith in room A117.
All 4-6th grade students will receive their device through their homeroom teachers the first week of school, after the above paperwork has been turned in.
