Name: Haley Riedemann

College Attending: Winona State University

Graduation date: May 10, 2019

Grade level and cooperating teacher: 2nd Grade with Darcy Hanken

Why you chose to become a teacher: I chose to become a teacher because I have always had a passion for helping others. I love being able to help children learn and grow to become the best version of themselves. 

Future plans after graduation from college: My plans after graduation are to get my Minnesota Teachers License, then find a teaching job in a small school.

Grade level and cooperating teacher: First grade with Brooke Sloan

Why you chose to become a teacher: I have chosen to become a teacher because I believe in the business of people. Meaning, teaching students social emotional and interpersonal skills is key for the development of a child's growth mindset. It is important for me to teach academics along with these important skills and tools because when our kids are in school, we are teaching for the whole child and the adult they will become.

Future plans after graduation from college: After I graduate, I would like to apply for jobs near my home town of Dexter. My family is highly important to me therefore I hope to teach and live in an area that is close to home.

Why a teacher: I want to help students strive to be the greatest possible.

Future plan after graduation: Become a special education teacher in the surrounding area.
