Starting the week of April 20th and continuing until Distance Learning is done for the 2019-2020 school year, the school will be offering to deliver books to your homes.
Here are the steps to participate:
- E-mail Mrs. Dolan at sdolan@gm.k12.mn.us a book title, author, series of books or specific genre your child would like to read. Please include your child’s name, grade level and address. By having your address readily available it will make it easier to set up delivery routes
- E-mails need to be sent to Mrs. Dolan by Mondays at noon
- Books will be delivered to your home on Tuesdays between 10 AM and 12:00 PM (noon)
Book returns:
- The main way we would like you to return books after they have been read is to drop the books off at the school. Drive to the back of the school and look for door 6 (Old gym entrance) In the entryway there will be a book drop box for you to put the books. The doors will be open Monday – Friday from 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
- If you are unable to drop books off at the school, have the books you have finished reading on your doorstep on Tuesdays between 10 AM and 12:00 PM. When your new books are delivered, we will pick up the books you have read. Please make sure the books are in a zip lock bag or other type of plastic bag to protect them from the weather and contamination.
Although we have had a book delivery/drop off program in place, this new program will be more consistent to help with planning and scheduling.
