Jump Rope for Heart/ Hoops for Heart
We will continue to do the Jump Rope for Heart Event.
Recently the American Heart Association has changed the name of it from Jump Rope for Heart to
Kids Heart Challenge.
So please watch here early this winter for updated information on this.
The program will not change it's foundation, just the name.
Congratulations to Grand Meadow Elementary.
This year the students raised $8057.50 for the American Heart Association.
This is the largest amount ever raised in Grand Meadow's 30 years of running the event.
We included our Kindergarten students this year and between Mrs. Weiss and Ms. Welper's classes, our Kindergartners raised over $1500.
Mrs. Sloan's 1st Grade class was the top fundraising class and will be receiving a Subway Party Sub for their efforts, They raised $1325 total.
That puts Grand Meadow Elementary's total funds raised to over $96,000 om 30 years.
I am very proud of our students efforts and the work they have done to fight heart disease and stroke.
Thank you to all the students for
their efforts and more
importantly working hard during jump
rope to improve their own heart health.
I personally want to thank everyone for their part.
You truly are heart heros!!!!
